Did you ever wondered how my site is doing in the SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) world? Well I have many times, but never had the time to look into it, I try to apply tips I read or hear here & there, but haven’t had any really feedback so far.

Today I discovered a site called ‘Website Grader‘ that has an online tool that helps you grade & analyse your website. It grades the site upon its marketing effectiveness. This grader’s algorithm uses a proprietary blend of over 50 different variables, including search engine data, website structure, approximate traffic, site performance, and others.

Fill in your website address and email & hit the 'Generate report'...then wait

It also shows you your Google Ranking, how mane pages Google has indexed, when it was last been crawled, traffic rank in Alexa, number of inbound links.
And the best part is that it explains all this info! eg for the Inbound Links it says:

“One of the most important measures for a website is how many other sites link to it. The more links the better. Having links to your website from authoritative resources on the Internet helps you rank higher in search engines since these links are an indication that your website is trustworthy and contains good content. “ – and it has a more info link as well.

All this information is sent to you in an email – the email has  a link where you can access the results.

The 2 main things I realised and fixed after using this grader, was to put meta tags and reduce the title of website and my grade is 67. I dont remember my intial grade but it went up quite a bit.
