I made this pendant for a new mama that celebrated her baby’s  first birthday!

To seal the photo in place I used cold glaze. Also I used waxed cord, a few macrame knots and blue glass beads to add to the playful character of this pendant.

Εγινε κιολας ενος ετους ο μικρουλης Αχιλλεας! Το δωρο μου στην πολυ καλη φιλη μου και μαμα του ειναι αυτο κρεμαστο λαιμου, με την φωτογραφια του.

Για να σφραγισω την φωτογραφια χρησιμοποιησα υγρο γυαλι, ειναι ενα υλικο που μοιαζει στην λειτουργια του πολυ με την εποξικη κολα. Λογω καλοκαιριου που ερχεται  ειπε να το κανω πιο αναλαφρο και παιχνιδιαρικο. Ετσι χρησιμοποιησα κοκκινο κερωμενο κορδονι, οπου σε ορισμενα σημεια εκανα μακραμε κομπους και τοποθετησα γυαλινες χαντρες με εντονο μπλε χρωμα. Το μεταλλο που χρησιμοποιησα ειναι ασημι 950.

New necklace ready!

I used these lovely deep red round beads to finish my black silver leaf embellished with a Moonstone cabochon.

I bought this cabochon online a couple of weeks ago, it is a handcut laguna lace. At first I thought about making a ring with it, but quickly changed my mind, as I have made a few rings lately and wanted sth else.
I took my sketchbook and was trying to draw interesting shapes around the stone. I went with this one, I had a hard time soldering the little pieces I wanted, and ended up just having an arrow and a circle.

I think I will keep this one for me.

And this is me wearing it, I didn’t have a model this time (or a photographer) -I did my best!

The last weeks the sun is hiding from us, here in Thessaloniki. He comes out, making short appearances, just to dissappear again behind the heavy rainy clouds. Today his stay was a bit longer, and I invited my brother’s wife to help me  model some of my jewellery. We only caught the last light of the day. The photo shoot was totally unorganized from my part, and so I am posting only 4 photos.

Last week I was into making bezels, I had some gemstones cabochons in my stash that I hadn’t use.

First a yellow quartz cab made into a ring

This lovely pink amethyst round cabochon, also used for making a ring.

Ring again, different stone – Moonstone round cabochon. Wear it by itself or with an extra silver band

Turquoise cab adorns a silver bezel, made into a pendant.
