Η κολεκτιβα δημιουργων απο την Αθηνα οπου τα τελευταια χρονια παει πολυ καλα και πολυ μιλανε για θεσμο πλεον, ερχεται στην Θεσσαλονικη. Και ειμαι πολυ χαρουμενη διοτι θα παρω μερος μαζι με την φιλη Μαρινα (aka tothemetal).

Εχουμε ηδη αρχισει να σκεφτομαστε για το πως θα ειναι ο παγκος μας, θα παμε επισης να τσεκαρουμε και τον χωρο. Ελπιζουμε να παει καλα ωστε να ξαναγινει, και ισως να αρχισει και κατι παρομοιο στην πολη μας.

It’s  so amazing when you wake up on Saturday morning, you have no work and the weather is absolutely perfect for a walk.  So I drove into the centre, traffic wasn’t so bad, I even found car parking easily. And ended up in P. Koromila Street where the Ζητα-Μι’ gallery is.

Yesterday on the 7 April 2009 was the opening of the La Mamma exhibition in the Thessaloniki. In this exhibition only women artists take part, a mixture of different arts from jewelry making to painting, candle making and small installations. This is their 5th year in a row and their getting more attention every time.

I really enjoyed my time at the opening, it was packed with people, mostly women, trying to look at the artists work. So thanks to my Flickr friend Marina, who sent me an invitation. It is a great opportunity for artists who live in the same area to gather and see each others work, meet, exchange ideas.

I took my camera with me to take a few snap shots to post here, but unfortunately my camera’s flash isn’t doing a great job, so I am planning to go again on Saturday during the day and try and get some decent pictures. I ‘d also love to interview some of the artists there, we ‘ll see how that goes
