Chrysocolla necklace finally is for sale!

The above is my Chrysocolla necklace, is was never for sale online because I haven’t managed to get any decent photos of these beautiful nuggets. What changed? I got a new brilliant camera the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3 and yesterday I got to play with it and this is the result.

Ποτε δεν μπορεσα να του βγαλω μια φωτογραφια που να ειμαι ευχαριστημενη, αυτες οι υμιπολυτιμες πετρες Χρυσοκολλα εχουν τοσους χρωματισμους και λεπτομερια που μου ηταν δυσκολο να τις αποθανατισω οπως θα επρεπε. Πανε αυτα ομως, πηρα καινουργια μηχανουλα, την Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3, εψαχνα πολυ καιρο τι να παρω, ηθελα την canon g11 αλλα πολλα τα λεφτα και δεν ειμαι σιγουρη οτι τα αξιζει.

Look the colours of the gemstone, each bead is different. This is an amazing piece.

The following pieces will be put on sale in the Meet Market in Thessaloniki this month.

Noeriga Agate Ring

Kyanite sticks wire-wrapped and attached to a sterling silver chain. Decorated with Moonstone rondelles.

Hand forged and hammered silver hoops, with a chain of Labradorite heishi beads.

For this long necklace I used different metal chains, the findings and wire used are sterling silver, gemstones used are rough cut Amethyst (2 pieces) and Citrine.

Look what my friend Maria got me for Xmas! She said that when she saw this in the shop she immediately thought this was for me. Thank you Maria!!!

Straight away when I got home (and it was 3am) I thought about trying hanging my earrings.

Εψαχνα στο μυαλο μου για μια αναλογη εκφραση στα ελληνικα για eye candy, και ποπ μου ‘ρθε το φατε ματια ψαρια, ειχα να το ακουσω τοσο πολυ καιρο…και ειναι και καπως αστειο, οποτε ετσι και ο τιτλος του σημερινου ποστ.

Re-shooting jewellery

I got my brother to help me re-shoot some of my jewellery pieces for my eshops. I am trying to show them on a model, and since I don’t have a model in hand, I volunteered and my bro stood behind the camera. It was much more difficult that we anticipated , the light was not right, the model was not a model and so on…

At the end we managed to get some results take a look below

Silver Brooch & Vintage style Ring / Ασημενια Καρφιτσα & Vintage Δαχτυλιδι

Finally I finished this brooch, it’s a commissioned piece from a friend. It was my first attempt with cold glaze resin and fortunately it went OK. I used Art Clay Silver for the frame and faceted gemstone beads.

Αυτη η καρφιτσα μου πηρε τελικα περισσοτερο απο οσο φανταζομουν, ηταν και η πρωτη φορα που χρησιμοποιησα υγρο γυαλι.

I got 4 of these fabulous vintage glass cabochons, and made a ring with one of them.

Silver pendant / Ασημενιο κρεμαστο

A few weeks ago, I bought some Art Clay Silver for a commission (still working on this), with the scrap material I made this pendant. It’s similar to this one.

I really had fun making this piece, as I used buttons from my collection, as stamps. Also used a cracked sea shell and an urchin. The red stone is Cubic Zirconium. To finish it I used a silver chain with a silk chord in a lovely earthy orange colour.

Πριν απο μερικες βδομαδες ανελαβα να σχεδιασω ενα κοσμημα – καρφιτσα για την ακριβεια – αγορασα αρκετη ποσοτητα Art Clay Silver, με το περισσευμα εκανα αυτο το κρεμαστο, το οποιο βεβαια μοιαζει με ενα που ειχα κανει πριν καιρο. Αυτο εχει διαφορετικα σχεδια και η πετρα (Cubic Zirconium) ειναι κοκκινη. Το συνδιασα με μια ασημενια αλυσιδα και ενα μεταξωτο κορδονι σε γηινο πορτοκαλι.
