Recently finished these pair of ear studs, I got these two cabochons for a customer that just had bought my ‘button ring‘ and wanted the same stone for earrings. Unfortunately  she wanted  even smaller cabs,  so these are going in my shop.

Also I had the chance yesterday to photograph 2 more pieces, I was experimenting trying to take pictures of me wearing jewelery. Very frustrating, my camera thankfully coped OK.

This a necklace I have made last summer, using disc beads from bone (recycled from an old piece of jewelery), jasper round beads and Boca de Negro Seed beads (black beans).  The clasp is handmade and from silver.

Love it for summer!

This Friday the 16th it’s  my birthday and to celebrate I will  have my first giveaway. I think that’s an excellent reason to start a giveaway trend in this blog. No idea what I will do on my birthday, the plan so far is to go and watch a theater play with my hubby. But nothing is booked yet. I was thinking to prepare food for a dinner party but that’s a bit overwhelming for me.

Λογω των γενεθλιων μου,  αυτην την Παρασκευη σκεφτηκα οτι ειναι πολυ καλη ιδεα να το γιορτασω με ενα δωρο που θα κανω εγω σε σε καποιον/α  που θα αφησει ενα σχολιο στο μπλογκ μου.  Εαν ολα πανε καλα και υπαρχει ανταποκριση σιγουρα θα το ξανακανω συντομα… οταν το μπλογκ θα εχει τα δικα του γενεθλια. Δεν εχω κανονισει κατι για την ημερα,  σκεφτομουν να καλεσω φιλους για φαγητο, αλλα μαλλον τελικα θα παμε θεατρο και για κανενα κρασακι μετα, ελπιζω μονο να κανει καμια καλοκαιριατικη βραδια να το απολαυσουμε.

Τωρα το δωρο μου ειναι ενα κολιε με πετρες Αβεντουρινη, Φεγγαροπετρες και ενα σταυρο απο κρυσταλλο Swarovski.  Το μονο που εχετε να κανετε ειναι να αφησετε ενα σχολιο (και το ονομα σας), πολλες θετικες σκεψεις και εγω το σαββατο θα διαλεξω ενα απο τα σχολια (δεν ξερω πως ακομα, μαλλον τυχαια)

The above is my Chrysocolla necklace, is was never for sale online because I haven’t managed to get any decent photos of these beautiful nuggets. What changed? I got a new brilliant camera the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3 and yesterday I got to play with it and this is the result.

Ποτε δεν μπορεσα να του βγαλω μια φωτογραφια που να ειμαι ευχαριστημενη, αυτες οι υμιπολυτιμες πετρες Χρυσοκολλα εχουν τοσους χρωματισμους και λεπτομερια που μου ηταν δυσκολο να τις αποθανατισω οπως θα επρεπε. Πανε αυτα ομως, πηρα καινουργια μηχανουλα, την Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3, εψαχνα πολυ καιρο τι να παρω, ηθελα την canon g11 αλλα πολλα τα λεφτα και δεν ειμαι σιγουρη οτι τα αξιζει.

Look the colours of the gemstone, each bead is different. This is an amazing piece.

Fire polished glass beads, amazing colour and vibrancy, with 4 vintage mother of pearl beads and a faceted aqua colour briolette.

The beads are 4mm, small enough to make this a casual necklace for every day wear, but quite elegant and noticeable.

A few weeks ago, I bought some Art Clay Silver for a commission (still working on this), with the scrap material I made this pendant. It’s similar to this one.

I really had fun making this piece, as I used buttons from my collection, as stamps. Also used a cracked sea shell and an urchin. The red stone is Cubic Zirconium. To finish it I used a silver chain with a silk chord in a lovely earthy orange colour.

Πριν απο μερικες βδομαδες ανελαβα να σχεδιασω ενα κοσμημα – καρφιτσα για την ακριβεια – αγορασα αρκετη ποσοτητα Art Clay Silver, με το περισσευμα εκανα αυτο το κρεμαστο, το οποιο βεβαια μοιαζει με ενα που ειχα κανει πριν καιρο. Αυτο εχει διαφορετικα σχεδια και η πετρα (Cubic Zirconium) ειναι κοκκινη. Το συνδιασα με μια ασημενια αλυσιδα και ενα μεταξωτο κορδονι σε γηινο πορτοκαλι.
