Another silver leaf with bezeled gem

Today I finished this pendant, it is the 2nd one from a series that I will attempt to design & fabricate. The 1st was this one, as you can see the concept is the same but I tried a couple different ideas. Although I like the black silver, and I think it makes the leaf stand out more, people expect silver to look like silver(meaning silver colour) and so I kept away from liver of sulphur.

I used these beautiful green glass round beads.

I definitely will try a few different photos, cause I am not happy with these ones.

Σημερα το τελειωσα και ειμαι αρκετα ευχαριστημενη με το αποτελεσμα, απλα οι φωτογραφιες με δυσκολεψαν, θα ξαναπροσπαθησω και αυριο αν βρω τον χρονο. Το φυλλο ειναι απο ασημενιο συρμα και πανω του καθεται μια φεγγαροπετρα δεμενη με καστονι. Οι πρασινες αυτες χαντρες ειναι γυαλινες. Συντομα θα μπει και στο eshop στην Dawanda

I made this pendant for a new mama that celebrated her baby’s first birthday!

To seal the photo in place I used cold glaze. Also I used waxed cord, a few macrame knots and blue glass beads to add to the playful character of this pendant.

Εγινε κιολας ενος ετους ο μικρουλης Αχιλλεας! Το δωρο μου στην πολυ καλη φιλη μου και μαμα του ειναι αυτο κρεμαστο λαιμου, με την φωτογραφια του.

Για να σφραγισω την φωτογραφια χρησιμοποιησα υγρο γυαλι, ειναι ενα υλικο που μοιαζει στην λειτουργια του πολυ με την εποξικη κολα. Λογω καλοκαιριου που ερχεται ειπε να το κανω πιο αναλαφρο και παιχνιδιαρικο. Ετσι χρησιμοποιησα κοκκινο κερωμενο κορδονι, οπου σε ορισμενα σημεια εκανα μακραμε κομπους και τοποθετησα γυαλινες χαντρες με εντονο μπλε χρωμα. Το μεταλλο που χρησιμοποιησα ειναι ασημι 950.

Coral Fossil Pendant / Κρεμαστο με απολιθωμα απο κοραλι

This is my latest creation. A coral fossil cabochon set on a silver pendant, which is soldered to a ball chain and handmade clasp.

The whole piece has been oxidised and then buffed to reveal certain areas. It has also an interesting rear.

Finished pendant with cabochon

I bought this cabochon online a couple of weeks ago, it is a handcut laguna lace. At first I thought about making a ring with it, but quickly changed my mind, as I have made a few rings lately and wanted sth else.
I took my sketchbook and was trying to draw interesting shapes around the stone. I went with this one, I had a hard time soldering the little pieces I wanted, and ended up just having an arrow and a circle.

I think I will keep this one for me.

And this is me wearing it, I didn’t have a model this time (or a photographer) -I did my best!
